Professor Introduction

Dong Kee Rhee is currently Professor of International Business and Strategy at Seoul National University. He completed his undergraduate studies at Seoul National University and received a doctoral degree in International Business from Stern School of Business at New York University.
Dr. Rhee’s research interests are in the areas of competitive strategies in international markets and global strategic management. His recent research is focused on the issues of dynamic competitive strategies in the global automobile and entertainment industries.
He is the author of several books, which include Global Management Strategies of Korean Firms (1995), International Competitiveness of Korean Service Industries (1995), Attracting Foreign Direct Investment into Korea (1999), Strategic Alliances in the Global Semiconductor Industry (2001), Competitive Strategies of Korean Firms in the Chinese Internet Industry (2002), Foreign Direct Investment by Korean firms (2006) and Corporate Strategies for the Film Industry(2007). He has also published over twenty articles in journals such as the Journal of International Business Studies, Organization Science, Research in Marketing, the International Journal of Management, Asia Pacific Business Review and the Asia Pacific Journal of Management.
